Rostron Carlyle has set its sights on growing its foothold in the legal market, with the appointment of Levi Smouha to Partner, and appointing Rozélle Bothma, Michael Finch and Alan Phillips to Associates. The latest promotions are set to further strengthen the firm’s leadership as it expands its presence in across Australia and Asia.
Rostron Carlyle’s Partner, Paul Rojas, said the new appointments have all contributed enormously to the firm and their elevation was an important step forward in expanding the Brisbane firm’s offering.
“Over recent months, we have been focused on elevating the Rostron Carlyle name. Levi Smouha, Rozélle Bothma, Michael Finch and Alan Phillips have played a significant role in this elevation and have experience across a range of industries,” Mr Rojas said.
Levi Smouha joined Rostron Carlyle in August 2016 as Head of Insolvency and has significant experience in advising insolvency practitioners, creditors and company directors in navigating all areas of insolvency.
Becoming Partner at Rostron Carlyle was something he has aspired to achieve since he began studying to become a Lawyer.
“It has most definitely been a lifelong goal, and to have reached this goal so soon in my career and now stand alongside the other Partners of Rostron Carlyle Lawyers is a great honour,” Mr Smouha said.
“My vision as a Partner of the Brisbane office is to both continue to grow, and find new ways of expanding Rostron Carlyle’s current foothold in the Brisbane legal market. I have no doubt that Rostron Carlyle Brisbane will continue to be a force in the legal services sphere with a highly-regarded reputation of ensuring unrivalled service is provided to all clients.”
Rozélle Bothma manages the Corporate Recoveries and Debt Collection team within Rostron Carlyle’s Litigation Practice while Michael Finch is a specialist commercial litigation lawyer.
Alan Phillips practices exclusively in criminal defence law which includes serious and organized crime.
Mr Rojas’s said their promotion to Associate was an exciting milestone in their careers.
“Rozélle, Michael and Alan have all been valuable members of the Rostron Carlyle team for a number of years. As a firm, we are focused on promoting great talent from within the company,” Mr Rojas said.
“Rostron Carlyle is known for its outstanding commitment and service to clients and have a track record of excellent performance. These appointments will only strengthen our team and that commitment,” Mr Philips said.
