7.15am for 7.30am start

Victoria Park Function Centre – Quartz Room
Herston Road, Herston

We invite members of the Valley Chamber of Commerce to attend our 2024 Annual General Meeting.
Members are advised that four nominations for the management committee were received for the three positions up for election at the AGM, in accordance with the Association’s rules. The management committee oversees the chamber’s activities and represents the interests of its members.

Received by the VCC Office & Events Manager prior to Wednesday 4th September 2024.

Ian McGinnis – HLB Mann Judd
I am a Chartered Accountant with over 20 years’ experience specialising in taxation issues primarily within Big 4 and second tier accounting firms in Australia.
I would like to nominate for the board to bring my experience and expertise in assisting the board in its endeavours in supporting the business community.
As current director Katherine Patel is resigning from the board, I will be in position to provide the ongoing support that Katherine has previously provided to the chamber and allow a seamless transition for the board.
Proposer – Katherine Patel
Seconder – James Henderson

Nathan Schokker – MODC/Wave CRM/LuckyDoor
As an avid supporter and champion of the VCC, I’ve enjoyed countless events and relished the opportunity to help the chamber through our technology solutions: MODC and LuckyDoor.  During my time around the chamber I’ve come to know many of you and enjoyed a fair few laughs, and I’m keen to see the chamber continue to excel well into the future.
I’m certainly familiar with the responsibilities of being a part of a chamber committee, and I’d be delighted to contribute actively in the member growth and advocacy of the Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Proposer – Ron Pennekamp
Seconder – Jackie Klus

Gary Titmarsh
I am nominating for the role of Director at the Chamber of Commerce because, as a member for over five years, I have witnessed the immense value of the interpersonal connections and friendships fostered within this community.
The chamber has grown significantly, yet there remains vast potential to solidify further its position as the premier chamber in the region.
I aim to foster further diversity within the chamber, encouraging new businesses to join and existing members to realise the value of their investment in time and energy, ensuring our region continues to develop and thrive.
Proposer – Phil Purcell
Seconder – Ray Morgan

Lynley Welsh
I have been an Advertising Executive for over 25 years. I have worked for 2 other large multi-national agencies as Finance Director and GM both locally and overseas and most recently Practice Director for HLB Mann Judd.
As an active member for the Valley Chamber for over 10 years, and having served on the VCC board as Secretary for 4 years, I am eager to continue being a member of the Valley Chamber board. I have a can-do approach and always deliver what I promise. I live in Spring Hill and am passionate about the growth and relationships in this vibrant and eclectic community.
