‘STONE & WOOD AND BALTER LONG LUNCH’ – FOUR COURSE LUNCH WITH
PAIRED BEERS AT PIG ‘N’ WHISTLE BRUNSWICK STREET
Following on from the success of 2017’s sold out event, Pig ‘N’ Whistle Brunswick Street is
hosting its second ‘Long Lunch’ instalment. Last year the event was held in exclusive
partnership with Stone & Wood however this year the team at the Brunswick Street Pig ‘N’
Whistle location are including Balter in the line-up.
The ‘Stone & Wood and Balter Long Lunch’ will consist of four courses in Pig ‘N’ Whistle
Brunswick Street’s celebrated outdoor beer garden. The collaborative event will be held on
Saturday 10 March and will draw inspiration from German beer halls. The lunch will take
place on long communal tables and encourage guests to mingle, discuss the featured beers
plus learn from industry experts about food and beer pairing. Guests will also be served Stone
& Wood’s Tickets to the Stone & Wood Long Lunch are $55pp and just 70 tickets are available.
The menu is inclusive of canapés and three courses, paired with beers from the Stone &
Wood and Balter core ranges. Guests will also be served Stone & Wood’s Limited Release,
The Gatherer, a thirst quenching American wheat beer with zesty ripe fruit aromas and a
fresh tartness from the addition of sour cherries, native Northern Rivers finger limes and river
mint. Balter’s special edition beer will be announced on the day.
Pig ‘N’ Whistle Brunswick Street supports Brisbane up and coming local talent, managed by
Rooster Entertainment. Known for its eclectic music offering, the venue’s live acoustic music
will provide a casual and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the Stone & Wood and Balter
Long Lunch and well into the evening.
As a pub also renowned for its live sport offering, Pig ‘N’ Whistle Brunswick Street will be
televising plenty of sport all day. This will encourage guests of the lunch to kick on into the
