The Trek To Connect is a 42km trek across a beautiful slice of South East Queensland. It is not a race, but a life-changing experience. Connect yourself with nature, your team, and the community in this spirited fundraising adventure for Wesley Mission Queensland’s Suicide Prevention Initiatives:
Suicide Prevention Training – Improving knowledge of the signs that someone me be at risk of suicide as well as developing skills and confidence to take effective action are very important steps in reducing the risk of suicide. Wesley Mission offers evidence based suicide prevention training adapted to suit a range of audiences.
Group61 – A volunteer mental health befriending program to help reduce social isolation and encourage the growth of self-confidence. Group 61 includes specialised support for youth exiting care, adults with mental health concerns and older people living in the community.
Young Men Suicide Prevention Program (Marcus Mission) – Linking, consolidating support and building capacity in young men (18-25 years), their support networks and communities.
