The NightWatch Chaplains patrol the Night-time entertainment precincts watching out for people when their good times go bad.
This can include anything from problem solving to assist people to get home safely through care and support, first aid for intoxication assaults or accidents or even mental health first aid. They also run a Rest and Recovery centre in Chinatown mall, staffed by an RN so that people have a safe place to rest and recover while they sober-up, avoiding unnecessary admission to the Emergency Department or a stay in the police watch house.
Each year, the NightWatch Chaplains assist over 4000 young Brisbanites to safely navigate the Valley CBD and Caxton street overnight.
We would love you to join us to help keep this important service alive.
Chaplainwatch’s next major fundraiser is the Purple and White Ball on the 8th March 2019 at Cloudland. Tickets are now on sale at: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/chaplainwatch-purple-and-white-ball-tickets-53231019412?err=29
