Treelight Development Group Pty Ltd have proposed to develop an eighteen storey commercial building over a four level podium at 484 Upper Edward Street, Spring Hill.
According to the proposal, the building would include two basement levels containing car parking and services for the development, four levels of podium car parking, commercial tenancies, ground level food and drink outlets and communal recreational open spaces between the podium and tower.
“The tower comprises of varying articulated spandrel projections and feature garden tower/terraces on several levels to create variation in built form, articulation and interest to the external building façade reducing the buildings’ visual bulk when viewed from the streetscape,” the proposal said.
“The roof level comprises of an outdoor recreation/ function area which includes an uncovered outdoor space and a landscaped edge on the southern, western and eastern boundaries.”
The tower levels (levels 5- 17) are intended to contain the commercial tenancies.
“The project will acknowledge the nearby Brisbane city and enhance the green web throughout the area by contributing its own subtropical landscape to the ground plane, podium, elevated tower gardens and planted recreation on the roof.
“The communal areas seek to provide additional amenity to tenants allowing flexibility in the way they balance work-life in the city.”
